Paint & Sip

I’ve seen many people do some neat work at the paint and sips. I always wondered how everyone’s looked fairly decent. Even those complicated looking ones. So – of course this went on the list of things to try.

After moving across the country for the second time I needed to find friends. So I signed up for Bumble. Bumble is a ‘meet people’ app that has 3 options – Dating, Business or just Friends. The friends part of it seems to work pretty decent, because this allowed me to meet a pretty amazing woman.

We talked on the app and text for a bit and she had recommended we meet at a paint and sip. I was very excited about the opportunity to try one of these out, and of course, I was happy to meet her as well.

I’m not sure what I expected at a paint and sip. Did it meet my expectations? I’m not sure I had any. I did have fun and would absolutely do it again. Would I keep my art work? well…. not from this one I wouldn’t! LOL

The Image to the left is the painting completed by the gentleman that sat next to me. He was an amazing character and had his painting done before most people started (not literally). He used different colors and had no care in the world and I absolutely LOVED his art and would have hung it in my home.

Sure I have painted things before that turned out well – this was certainly not one of them. I’m not sure what I’d do with mine. Or others that I don’t particularly enjoy. I think my problem is I kept going on my painting after it looked fine and I just couldn’t quit futsing (I have no clue how to spell this and I’m too lazy to look) with it, and then it got to looking not so great again.

My new friend is fantastic! And I can’t wait to hang out with her again! I’m pretty sure she has the heart of gold!
